Colgate announces VRS

MUMBAI: Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd has announced a voluntary retirement scheme for employees at its manufacturing facility at Aurangabad.

"This initiative is being undertaken to address the long-standing issue of surplus manpower and to strengthen the company's long-term competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market environment," the company told the BSE.

The various elements of the voluntary retirement scheme such as medical coverage have been formulated in line with the company's corporate standards.
