BCE launches futures in RBD palmolein

THE Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) on Monday launched futures trading in RBD palmolein.

"Today the exchange has launched futures trading in RBD palmolein on outcry basis. The number of participants was around 20. Total trading volume was around 350 tonnes," Mr P.M. Chedda, President, BCE, told Business Line.

"The exchange will switch over it's trading to online platform in the next 10-15 days. The commodity, next in line, is groundnut oil futures," he said.

Trading in February contracts 2005 resumed at Rs 366 per 10 kg on fresh buying support. The contracts ended at Rs 364.75 per 10 kg, down by 1.25 .

The turnover was 600 tonnes, while the open position was 340.
