Narsee Monjee students bag Crisil awards

THE Mumbai-based Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), now a deemed university, has bagged the maximum number of awards at this year's Crisil Young Thought Leader (CYTL) Awards.
Three papers submitted by students of NMIMS have bagged the CYTL Awards, 2004. The award winning papers from NMIMS were: India's electricity sector: Can the government control and private investments co-exist? By Mr Daanish Varma; Implementing Basel II: Impact on emerging economies by Mr Jaydeep Thaker and Rural development: Strategy for incorporating it into India's overall economic development agenda by Mr Sandeep Lakhanpal.
The award comprises a merit certificate, a trophy to the winner, the CYTL trophy for the winner's management institute, a cash award of Rs 5,000 and a call for a final interview with business heads for an entry-level position in Crisil.
