THE Bharti Chairman and Group Managing Director, Mr Sunil Mittal, on Monday exuded confidence that the cellular industry would be able to reduce tariffs if the access deficit charge (ADC) is brought down.

``If ADC can be brought down, the tariffs can be brought down. So it is up to the Government but it is my commitment on behalf of the industry that whenever ADC is brought down, the benefits will be passed on to the customers within the same evening,'' Mr Mittal said on the sidelines of TiEcon conference.

"The private sector is playing its role in rural areas and together with BSNL we are building networks," he added.
