Human Resources Anshin Soft to increase headcount Our Bureau
Kolkata , Dec. 21 ANSHIN Software Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of the Silicon Valley-headquartered Anshinsoft, has firmed up plans to increase the headcount at its Kolkata development centre to 140-150 within the next 12-18 months from around 90 at present. The company is currently engaged in developing specialised software for companies such as Nomura, Toshiba and Hitachi of Japan, among others. On the occasion of the inauguration of its new development centre at the Salt Lake Electronics Complex here today, Mr Arnab Debnath, President & CEO of Anshin Software Pvt Ltd, told newspersons that Goldman Sachs had implemented the company's "out-of-the-box reporting solution" that has been developed here in Kolkata. Talks were under way for development of solutions for a subsidiary company of Fujitsu as well. Mr Debnath said the company's expansion plans were in line with anticipated growth in business. After developing a "straight through processing" solution for Nomura's Tokyo operations, work was in progress for the implementation of a similar system for Nomura's wholesale trading operations in New York. There were also plans to implement similar systems for Nomura's operations in other geographies. According to him, the focus in the days ahead would be on the development of RFID (radio frequency identification) based applications. Software solutions involving digital media technology would also be developed. The company would also take its financial industry solutions offerings to new markets such as South East Asia and Europe. Mr Debnath said the company's annualised turnover would go up from Rs 12 crore at present to Rs 20-22 crore within the next 18 months.
