L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore , Dec. 21

KENYA Airways has struck a deal with Newgen Software Solutions for implementing the latter's OmniDocs Web with Record Management System at their office in Nairobi. Newgen sources say this is the first mega airline project for the company.

The first of the 12 processes, namely, indenting work, is expected to go live within the next 30 days.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Punit Jain, Vice-President (Sales and Marketing), Newgen, said this would be one of the largest implementation in any airline system for the company.

"About 18 systems are to be integrated in a span of 15 weeks. Work has just commenced. The total investment on the BPM (business process management) solution is estimated at $250,000."

To evaluate and oversee the implementation of the solution, Kenya Airways has appointed an independent consulting firm, ITA Kenya.
