Kotak to offer art advisory services

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Dec. 22

KOTAK Mahindra is targeting high net worth customers who are willing to invest in art by offering them special advisory services. The plan is to provide a certain value addition to discerning clients, especially ones who are keen to explore alternative investment options.

"We have started to advise clients as part of our plan to cater to a growing segment. A lot of people are now seriously looking at art, a market that seems to be burgeoning in India," he said.

The fledgling service will take a better shape in the next six months or so, it is pointed out. The bank is already offering a number of other `smart' options, including a sweep facility to account holders which leverages on Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund's liquid scheme. Daily balances above a predetermined level in savings accounts are swept out routinely in the liquid scheme.
