Covai Flower show in January

COIMBATORE: Rotary Club of Coimbatore Uptown and the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University have jointly proposed to conduct the Covai Flower Show 2005 at the Botanical Gardens here on January 29 and 30.

`We are actually reviving the flower show, which was an annual event till 1986. After almost two decades, we are planning to organise one on a bigger scale in 2005,' the Vice-Chancellor of the agri-varsity, Dr C. Ramasamy.

The event is to commemorate the centenary celebrations of the agriculture education. The organisers are planning to conduct painting, poem writing and flower arrangement competition for schools and college students.
