Tata Indicom to extend services in TN

Our Correspondent

MADURAI: Tata Indicom has plans to extend its services to 145 towns in Tamil Nadu by the end of the current financial year, according to Mr Madhusudanan, Chief Operating Officer, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Tata Tele-Services Ltd.

Launching its services — prepaid and post-paid for CDMA mobiles, fixed wireless telephones and public telephone booths — at Tirunelveli recently, he said at present the services are available in 90 towns. The expansion plan is in tune with the company's strategy to penetrate the markets on the one hand and establish its presence nationwide on the other.
