Policy AP: Decision on talks with Maoists after a month Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 23 THE State Government will watch Naxalite activities for a month before deciding when to hold the second round of talks with Maoists. Following a meeting with the mediators in the talks process on Thursday, the Home Minister, Mr K. Meanwhile, the Government would exercise restraint in dealing with the Maoists. Similarly, Mr Reddy said, the Maoists also should exercise restraint and maintain a peaceful atmosphere. Earlier, the mediators, headed by Mr S.R. Sankaran, met the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and urged him to continue the ceasefire and speed up the talks process between the Government and Maoists.
