THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of its efforts to take `information technology to the poor', the Computer Dealers Association of Trivandrum will donate a multimedia computer system to the Sree Chitra Poor Home in the city.

The association will also provide free training in basic computer operations to the inmates of the home, said Mr Gokul Govind, the organisation's president.

The association, which has around 100 members, will also set up a quality cell in an attempt to reduce the trade in spurious and low-quality computer parts, he added.
