Ramco Systems sees demand from SMBs

BEING part of the global economy, the pressure to benchmark themselves with global firms is driving small and medium size business (SMB) firms to adopt information technology in a big way.

This trend has, in turn, boosted sales of Ramco e.Applications of the Chennai-based Ramco Systems Ltd, a software that helps companies streamline their process and integrate various functions, said a company official.

Ramco's solution for SMB is seeing around 30 per cent growth every quarter, and this trend is likely to continue in the next few months. The demand for IT solutions is not only coming from SMB firms in India, but also from abroad, according to Mr R. Shankar, Country Manager, India, Middle East and Africa, Ramco Systems.

Recently, the company added nine prominent customers in the SMB segment. They include Angel Zippel, Berger Becker, Bhikaji Foods, Novar India and Yash Papers.

The order book from these clients is likely to be around Rs 2.5 crore. With these new wins, Ramco now has around 60 customers in the SMB segment, he said.
