Bharti centres in tsunami-hit places

NEW DELHI: Bharti Tele-Ventures on Wednesday announced measures for the relief and rehabilitation programme for victims of the tsunami disaster.

Bharti will be rolling out Airtel mobile and VSAT network services in Andaman and Nicobar Islands before the end of the current fiscal, involving a total capital expenditure of Rs 20 crore, a company release said here.

Besides this, the company also announced setting up of communicationcentres near hospitals, police stations, temporary shelters and other public places along the coastal belt of Tamil Nadu to address the needs of the affected.
