Keels laid for Saudi co's fire-fighting tugs

KEELS for three fire-fighting tugs for A.A. Turki Corporation (ATCO), Saudi Arabia have been laid at the Cochin Shipyard.

Of the nine tugs contracted, two vessels have been delivered on November 10 and four are currently under construction. The vessels represent the last three in the series, a release said. Construction of all the tugs is going on as per schedule.

The yard is also constructing six 30,000 DWT bulk carriers for Clipper Group of Denmark. These orders are also proceeding on schedule, the release added.
