SBI deposits up in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Circle of State Bank of India has improved its credit-deposit ratio in the State to 54 per cent from just under 40 per cent in 2000, says a release issued by the bank.

The credit extended by the bank in the State has increased from Rs 1,707 crore in March 2000 to Rs 3,820 crore at the end of November 2004, the release adds. During the same period, the bank's deposits in the State have increased from Rs 4,289 crore to Rs 7,119 crore, the release says.
