RIL cuts petrochem product prices

RELIANCE Industries Ltd on Monday cut prices of its petrochemical products for January. The cut is in line with falling international prices of crude oil over the last few weeks.

The per kg price pf partially oriented yarn has been slashed by Rs 7.10 to Rs 69.30; polyester staple fibre prices are down by Rs 5.50 to Rs 66 a kg. Monoethylene glycol prices have been cut by Rs 10.40 to Rs 52 a kg while purified terphthalic acid is down Rs 3.80 to Rs 44.50 a kg.

Polyethylene prices are down Rs 5.50 to Rs 54.20 a kg, polypropylene is at Rs 54 a kg, down by Rs 7, while polyvinyl chloride prices are down by Rs 4 to Rs 47 a kg.

Linear alkyl benzene price has been raised by Rs 5 to Rs 65.90 a kg.
