THE joint committee with trade and industry on value added tax (VAT), formed by the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers on VAT, is to meet here on Tuesday.

Mr Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), said this in a statement issued here on Monday.

The statement also said that a high-level CAIT delegation would meet Dr Parthasarthy Shome, Advisor to Union Finance Minister, on Tuesday, and apprise him about the concerns of trade on VAT and service tax.
