`Road safety law soon'

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government will enact a road safety law during the coming session of the Assembly, the State Transport Minister, Mr N. Sakthan, said.

Inaugurating a road safety week and a seminar organised by the All Kerala Motor Driving School Instructors and Workers Association here, the Minister also said the Motor Vehicles Department would be thoroughly reorganised.

More staff would be posted to reduce delays in Regional Transport Offices and testing grounds.

A Motor Driving School and Establishment Council with representatives of driving schools would come into existence next month. A driving institute for imparting training to drivers would also start functioning soon, he added.
