Thiruvananthapuram , Jan. 7

IBS Software Services, a player in the travel, transportation and logistics (TTL) sector, proposes to recruit over 1,000 software engineers with various experience levels in the next three years.

This will help ramp up operations to actualise the company's growth targets, according to Mr V.K. Mathews, Chairman and Managing Director. The company currently employs 450 employees in Thiruvananthapuram.

The fresh recruitment drive has been launched in the context of the company setting up a second development centre at Infopark, Kochi, which is expected to go on stream early next month.

The Kochi development centre would cater to IBS' growing need for excellent human resources to take it into the next phase of its growth, Mr Mathews said. "We plan to attract talent from South India and also across Kerala. Kochi, the commercial hub of Kerala, is a favoured destination for many, since it offers all the attractions a metro city like Bangalore or Chennai provides.

Mr Mathews said the expansion plan is in line with the company's plans to consolidate its position as a leading global IT company in the TTL sector.

Apart from the base in Thiruvananthapuram, IBS group companies operate out of Atlanta, London, Zurich, Dubai and Sydney.
