WITH the explosive growth in the economy, management professionals in India have to learn to manage the continuous process of growth. The 1990s saw huge innovations and incubations in the US and also in India, followed by growth and value creation by companies; but by 2002 most of the companies had disappeared forever.
Mr P.K. Mohapatra, President, Madras Management Association (MMA), said value creation, delivery and sustaining it over a period of time are the challenges that face organisations today.
This would be the theme of this year's MMA's convention to be held on January 21 and 22.
Mr Venkat Changavalli, Chairman Convention Committee, MMA, said that the convention would give participants a broad overview of the process of building customer centric organisation culture, creating, capturing, delivering and sustaining value.
The speakers include professionals such as Mr Pranesh Misra, President and COO, Lowe India; Mr Peter Luethi, COO, Jet Airways; and Ms Ekta Kapoor, Managing Director, Balaji Telefilms.
This year, the MMA will also be inviting 100 management students to the convention.
