MphasiS BFL hints at buys in Q4

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Jan. 11

IN a bid to bolster its growing BPO business, MphasiS BFL Group has been evaluating acquisitions for a while now.

According to Mr Ravi Ramu, the coming quarter should show some results.

"Don't be surprised if there are acquisitions (announcements) in the fourth quarter. We are close to some deals both on the IT and BPO front. And we have looked at firms in the US, the UK and India. We will acquire a BPO firm that will strengthen our process-based BPO since we expect this area to give us more business going ahead."

With 8,000 people on board the MphasiS-BFL team, the company is looking to become a 12,000 strong company by next year.
