Korean delegation scouts for alliances

A HIGH-POWERED delegation from the Korean Giangjhu province is visiting India and is scouting for alliance partners for the animation sector in that country.

Speaking at the Nasscom summit, inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy, the Chief Executive Officer of Guangjhu, Mr Kim Young Joo, said that the Korean industry estimated at about $270 million now is projected to grow to about $780 million by 2007, offering immense scope for collaborations and alliances.

Out of about 45 million Korean population, about 10 million people have access to broadband connection which makes the process of animation and entertainment much more enjoyable.

This has also meant a strong commitment by the Government to enhance the talent pool to meet the demands from the sector.
