Route dispersal norms for airlines to stay

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Jan. 12

THE Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that the route dispersal guidelines for airlines operating in the domestic sector will continue as before.

An official statement issued on Wednesday points out that all airlines, be they from the private or public sector have to follow a well-defined route dispersal policy so that all the areas of the country, including the remote areas like the North-East, the Andamans and Jammu and Kashmir are also well connected by air.

The uidelines divide the country into three categories and airlines have to operate a certain number of flights in each of the three categories.
