Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre is actively considering the construction of a national highway linking Thiruvananthapuram with Tirunelveli in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu.

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr T.R. Baalu, conveyed this to the State Public Works Minister, Dr M.K. Muneer, in reply to a letter in this connection. Dr Muneer had demanded the construction of an inter-State highway whose alignment will touch Kattakada, Kottur and Ambasamudram en route.
