Pesticide unit penalised in AP

HYDERABAD: The manufacturing licence of K.V.M. Organic Products Pvt. Ltd, a pesticide manufacturing unit at Satulur in Guntur district has been suspended by the State Commissioner and Director of Agriculture.

In a press release the Agriculture Commissioner said the company was indulging in unauthorised transaction of pesticides. It had purchased and sold formulations of Tricyclazole 75 per cent WP; Cartap hydrochloride four per cent Gr and Acetamiprid 20 per cent SP without inclusion of said products in the manufacturing licence.

The company also purchased and sold the technical grade of Cypermethrin, Alphamethrin and Cartap hydrochloride in contravention of the provisions of the Insecticides Act 1968, the release said. - Our Bureau
