Meet on facial defects in Hyderabad

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: In Andhra Pradesh, more than 1,900 children are born every year with facial defects. In India, at least 3,500 children are born with cleft and cranio-facial problems.

However, there are very few centres providing comprehensive treatment to the kids. The Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Cranio-facial Anomalies, is holding its annual conference in Hyderabad to highlight this issue.

About 70 international faculty and 100 Indians will explain the various aspects of treating the problems during the ongoing meet up to January 16, according to a release.
