MUMBAI: Auto components company Bharat Forge Ltd has reported a 25.5 per cent increase in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 41.4 crore for the third quarter in 2004-05.

The net profit increase was contributed by a 76 per cent rise in exports at Rs 149.4 crore. The major rise in exports was attributed to the company's strategy of going for global markets. Total income grew by 46 per cent to Rs 311.3 crore.

For the nine-month period, PAT was up by 28 per cent at Rs 113.26 crore. Revenues grew by 41 per cent to Rs 863.08 crore.
