Announcements Tata Motors bags KSTC order for 1,070 bus chassis Our Bureau
Mumbai , Jan. 15 TATA Motors has bagged an order for 1,070 bus chassis from various State transport corporations in Karnataka, an official statement said on Friday. The order worth Rs 55 crore is to be executed between January and March. "This is the single largest order that the company has ever received from the Karnataka State Transport Corporations and represents 100 per cent share of business for the orders placed," it said. The different constituents for this Euro II bus chassis order were Bangalore Metropolitan TC (BMTC), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (Central), North West KSTC and North East KSTC. "We expect our share of business with the Karnataka State Transport Corporations to grow from 37 per cent in the year 2003-04 to over 60 per cent this fiscal on a growing base," said Mr Shyam Mani, Vice-President (Sales), Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors.
