Oil conservation fortnight at Kochi

KOCHI: The Minister for Fisheries and Sports, Mr Dominic Presentation, said public transport has to become more efficient to make oil conservation effective. He called upon oil companies to develop alternate sources of energy such as bio diesel for sustenance.

The minister was inaugurating Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight 2005 observed by the oil industry in the State.

After the inaugural function, the minister flagged off a conservation rally in which more than 1,000 school children participated. Various awareness programmes are planned all over the State till January 31.
