KCCI urges VAT education

MANGALORE: The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has requested the Union Government to educate people from the trade and industry on value-added tax (VAT).

A press release by the KCCI President, Mr A. Srinivasa Rao, said here that any ambiguity on VAT should be clarified before its implementation on April 1.

Welcoming the move to introduce VAT in the country, he said that traders would be benefited from it.
