Mangalore doctors' team visits Lanka

MANGALORE: A team of doctors, under the leadership of Dr A.G. Jayakrishnan of Omega Hospital, Mangalore, visited tsunami-hit areas in Sri Lanka, according to a press release here.

The team, which carried 880 kg of medicines, attended more than 3,000 patients at four camps in Mullaithivu, Killinochi and Hampanthotta. The release said that the team had gone to Sri Lanka following a request from Red Cross Society.
