THE Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said his Government's vision is to provide Internet connection to every village in the State in a span of two to three years.
Addressing the `Global Leadership 2020 - Interactive Session' here, he said that though the State Government lay more emphasis on the development of the agricultural sector and generation employment avenues, adequate importance is being given to the industrial sector, particularly to information technology and biotechnology.
Dr Reddy expressed confidence that the State Government would be able to complete the pending and proposed irrigation projects in the State during his five-year tenure.
The Global Leadership programme, organised by the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in the US in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is a three-week programme that brings together 35 executives from abroad who seek to learn about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in India.
