Kolkata , Jan. 18

ZENITH Finesse (India) Pvt Ltd, specialising in high quality China-made gift items for corporates, in partnership with Goldyip Holdings of China, has formally launched a new range of audio-visual electronics items such as 6-in-1 DVD players and cassette recorders, in the national market, under the brand name "Finesse".

The unveiling of the new brand signals the company's entry into retailing of audio-visual electronics items through a 100 per cent outsourcing arrangement with the Rs 500-crore Chinese company.

Speaking to Business Line at the launch ceremony here recently, Mr Ashok V. Kothari, Director, Zenith Finesse, said Goldyip's high quality audio-visual products with affordable price tags have been launched through a strong all-India dealer network. The Finesse DVD products are being priced in the Rs 3,000- Rs 6,000 range.

According to Mr Debranjan Banerjee, Sales Manager, the first job is to take the products to the respective markets across the country through a handpicked dealer network. Once the distribution phase is over, efforts towards brand building would begin. Not willing to reveal more on the brand promos at this stage, he said an ad campaign by a specialist agency in both print and electronic media would soon follow.

He said an ad film to position the Finesse brand in the niche markets, as a quality product at an affordable price, is being commissioned soon. Asked on the good features of the brand, he cited distributive strengths and unmatched after-sales service, even in areas like the north eastern part of India, where a strong dealer network has already been established.
