THE huge popularity of Bob the Builder, an animation show on Pogo, has opened up merchandising opportunities.

HIT Entertainment has launched the Bob the Builder licensing programme.

Bob the Builder is one of the most successful pre-school properties with television sales to 200 countries, 15 million videos and 25 million books sold worldwide.

"Our first step was to establish Bob the Builder as a successful television show," said Ms Sheetal Merchant, Brand Director, HIT Entertainment.

Bob the Builder will now be available to Indian licensees and retailers across product categories such as toys, educational games, figurines, apparels, board games and puzzles, home furnishings and school products.
