Pentasoft board okays merger with Silicon Valley Tech

PENTASOFT Technologies Ltdis to be merged with Silicon Valley Infotech, Kolkata.

Pentasoft's board approved the merger at a meeting held on January 15. The board will decide on the share exchange ratio between the companies and appointment of professionals to put through the scheme, according to a press release issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

According to a senior Pentasoft official, Silicon Valley, which is into design software, has been discussing the merger with Pentasoft for some time. Events like September 11, 2001 in the US affected Pentasoft's performance, and clients were not paying the company properly. The merger will be good for Pentasoft, he said.
