Advisory service launched for relocating to Scotland

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Jan. 19

THE Scottish Executive has announced the launch of a relocation advisory service. The service is designed to assist individuals in overcoming barriers to relocation by providing a one-stop-shop for information on moving to Scotland, it said in a statement here.

The service is free and provides a dedicated team of advisers offering comprehensive assistance on the practicalities of living, working and studying in Scotland. It is available to everyone and will provide information on work permits, visa applications, studies, setting up a business and all the other aspects of relocating to Scotland. This service is an integral part of the Fresh Talent Initiative that aims to attract individuals to move to Scotland to live, work and study. The initiative is driven by the demographic projections for the country and the anticipated population decline. The Fresh Talent Initiative was launched in February 2004 by Mr Jack McConnell, Scotland's First Minister. It is an initiative of the Scottish Executive, the executive branch of Scotland's devolved government.
