Sundaram Brake Linings to pay 50 pc interim

SUNDARAM Brake Linings Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 2.6 crore for the third quarter of the current year, compared with Rs 2.35 crore in the corresponding period of last year. The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share (50 per cent).

Turnover for the quarter increased to Rs 33.19 crore from Rs 29.92 crore. Domestic sales amounted to Rs 19.53 crore (Rs 18.99 crore) and exports stood at Rs 13.65 crore (Rs 10.93 crore).

In the nine-month-period ended December 31, 2004, the company made a net profit of Rs 7.95 crore against Rs 6.38 crore in the comparable period of last year.

Its turnover for the period was Rs 100.45 crore, against Rs 87.75 crore previously. Domestic sales increased to Rs 55.26 crore from Rs 49.54 crore; exports rose to Rs 45.19 crore from Rs 38.21 crore.
