Fertilisers Coromandel Fert Q3 sales, net up Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Jan. 23
COROMANDEL Fertilisers Ltd, a Murugappa group company, has achieved sales worth Rs 440.66 crore and net profit of Rs 19.94 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2004, against Rs 350.32 crore and Rs 10.29 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. "Higher volume of production and sales of complex fertilisers and pesticides during the period helped the company's profitability. Lower cost of distribution and finances too helped," according to a company press release. The company board approved the unaudited results for the third quarter on Saturday. For the nine months period, Coromandel Fertilisers registered a sales turnover of Rs 1,118 crore (Rs 888.46 crore). The net profit after tax for the period is put at Rs 59.27 crore (Rs 31.63 crore). The company recorded sales worth Rs 1,211.57 crore during 2003-04, and profit of Rs 43.1 crore.
