Real Estate & Construction Encumbrance certificates Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 114 computerised Sub-Registrar Offices have been equipped to issue encumbrance certificates the second day after filing of the application for the same. Announcing this, a spokesman of the office of the Inspector General of Registration said here that the applications should be submitted directly and not routed through any agent. If the certificates are not issued the next day, the person concerned is free to get in touch with the Vigilance Officer, Mr A.K. Ramakrishnan, on telephone 0471--2474481. This arrangement will hold true only for certificates that are valid for 14 years or less as the custom-made `PEARL' software cannot store information for more than this period. If certificates are sought for a longer period, it will take one or two days more as other records manually entered since would also have to be referred.
