Rubber dealers' convention

KOTTAYAM: The National Convention of Rubber Dealers will be organised by the Indian Rubber Dealers Federation at the Rubber Bhavan, Kottayam on Wednesday. It will discuss various issues concerning the dealers, including the impact of value-added tax (VAT)proposed to be introduced from April 1, 2005.

The Revenue Minister, Mr K. M. Mani, will inaugurate a separate session on VAT in the morning. The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, is inaugurating the public meeting at 2.00 pm on the same day.
