Phillips Carbon Black's eco protection

KOCHI: The Kochi-based unit of Phillips Carbon Black has implemented measures for environmental protection, including an online monitoring system in all operative stacks, secondary bag collectors to prevent carbon leakage , de-dusting systems, venturi scrubbers and the complete recycling of treated effluent water.

The unit has been awarded the Environmental Management System (EMS) standard accreditation under the ISO 14001:1996, said a press release issued by the company.
