KOTTAYAM: The 21st International Book Fair being organised by Darsana Cultural Centre will be inaugurated by the State Irrigation Minister, Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, here on January 27. The theme of the book fair is `Book art in quest for alternatives'. Ms Jancy James, Vice-Chancellor, MG University, will preside and writer Sara Joseph will deliver the keynote address.

A meeting of senior citizens, children's day, media seminar, book releases etc will be held along with the seminar. There will also be a separate meeting to remember Mahatma Gandhi organised by the Gandhi Peace Foundation. Dr Sukumar Azheekode and Prof O.N.V. Kurup will participate. The book release ceremony on February 2 will be attended by poets Balachandran Chullikkadu and D. Vinayachandran. Prof Madavana Balakrishna Pillai will preside. The ook fair will conclude on February 5.
