Fund for Kerala domestic workers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Minister for Labour, Mr Babu Divakaran, has promised to bring domestic workers under the minimum wages law and extend the benefit of welfare fund to them.

The Minister said this while inaugurating the 20th national conference of domestic workers under the aegis of the National Domestic Workers' Movement here.

He said the Government would bring the problems of these categories to the attention of the Sen Commission constituted to suggest steps for the welfare of the unorganised workers.
