THE Minister for Communications and IT, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, today said that Department of Telecom (DoT) was clear in its stand on imposing a penalty of Rs 150 crore on Reliance Infocomm for violating the licence conditions by illegally routing international traffic.

"DoT is very clear... that they have violated the clause, that they have violated the licensing conditions, and that is the reason we have slapped the penalty," Mr Maran said on the sidelines of an event organised by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council.
