Bangalore , Jan. 26

CHICAGO-based staffing solutions company Seaton Corp, which inaugurated its office last week here, is tapping the temping and recruitment process outsourcing markets in the country.

Speaking to Business Line, Ms Karen Browne, Vice-President, Operations, SeatonCorp, US, said the company handles about 80,000 calls a week in the US in the candidate process business and hopes to outsource a significant number of calls here soon.

Though SeatonIndia has been operational since April 2003, it was only providing back-office support and infrastructure services to the parent company, SeatonCorp, and its subsidiaries - Staff Management and PeopleScout.

The company has invested about $1.5 million in its facility in Bangalore. The facility will employ about 150 professionals including recruiters, team leaders and technicians.

Mr Mahesh Srinivasan, Country Manager, SeatonIndia, said PeopleScout in India would drive the business for Staff Management, the staffing solutions division. "We're in talks with several IT, ITES, hospitality and packaging companies for business," he said.
