PSU BEML third quarter PAT doubles Our Bureau
Bangalore , Jan. 26 BHARAT Earth Movers Ltd has posted record profit after tax of Rs 24.3 crore and sales turnover of Rs 318.60 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004. The PAT amounts to 110 per cent growth over Rs 11.52 crore the defence PSU made during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Profit before tax was Rs 31.16 crore (Rs 19.21 crore). For the entire year, it expects to touch pre-tax profit of Rs 100 crore and turnover of Rs 2,000 crore. For the nine months ended December 31, 2004, BEML has made sales of Rs 1,086.80 crore and PAT of Rs 48.95 crore. The profit before tax was Rs 75.42 crore.
