Apollo Tyres Q3 net, sales rise

New Delhi, Jan. 27

APOLLO Tyres Ltd (ATL) has reported a net profit of Rs 47.35 crore on a net sales of Rs 1,904.08 crore for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2004.

ATL had registered net profit of Rs 51.64 crore on net sales of Rs 1,692.44 crore during the nine month period ended December 31, 2003.

Other income stood at Rs 17.91 crore ( Rs 2.03 crore).

"Our overall sales have gone up by 19 per cent this quarter and we expect them to be even higher next year. This will be possible, given that by March 31, 2005, we would have completed a significant capacity enhancement exercise across all manufacturing locations," said Mr Onkar S. Kanwar, Chairman and Managing Director.
