Kesoram Industries posts Rs 4.97 crore loss in Q3

KOLKATA: Kesoram Industries Ltd, a BK Birla group company, has registered a net loss of Rs 4.97 crore for the third quarter of 2004-05, against a net profit 10.48 crore in the corresponding previous period.

Net sales, however, jumped by 10.76 per cent, to Rs 422.10 crore from Rs 381.11 crore. Other income also rose to Rs 14.30 crore (Rs 8.44 crore).

For the nine-month period ended December 2004, Kesoram Industries continued to remain in black, booking net profit of Rs 13.30 crore (Rs 21.15 crore).

For this period, net sales also went up to Rs 1,254.64 crore (Rs 1,127.70 crore).
