New Delhi , Jan. 28

THE Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur has granted a stay against any recommendation of final anti-dumping duty by the Designated Authority to the Commerce Ministry on nylon tyre cord fabric (NTCF) imports from China.

"The High Court has given a stay up to February 16. The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) had approached the court over certain contentious issue on the disclosure statement," Mr D. Ravindran, Director-General of ATMA, told Business Line here.

The domestic tyre industry imports about 12,000 tonnes of NTCF annually from China.

The six-month validity of the provisional anti-dumping duty that had been imposed on NTCF imports from China expired on Wednesday, Mr Ravindran said.
