HDFC has so far sanctioned housing loans worth Rs 430 crore and disbursed Rs 380 crore during the first nine months of the current financial year and it hopes to sanction Rs 630 crore by the end of the year, according to Mr B.V Sundararajan, Regional Manager of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

He was speaking here on Friday after the inauguration of a three-day property fair at Matsyadarshini on the beach road by the Municipal Commissioner, Mr N. Srikanth.

Mr Sundararajan said the company had earlier this month held such a property fair at Dilshuk Nagar in Hyderabad and the response was very good. During the three days, the interest rates would be 7.25 per cent for loans below Rs 10 lakh and 7.5 per cent for those above Rs 10 lakh. There would be interest reduction in the range of 0.5 per cent to 1 per cent during the period.
